a synopsis of my Christian faith, religion, and philosophy

Hello. Thanks for looking at this page. If you’d care to listen, I would like to tell you about my faith, my beliefs, and my outlook on life.

A quick question before I start: Why am I talking about this? Why’s it so important?

Answer: There are several reasons. First, I believe God wants me to. (Go therefore and make disciples) Second, my faith is a large part of myself, and I like talking about myself, as you can probably tell from my blog. :-) Third, I think talking about the truth and sharing it is important. I have the utmost respect for those who disagree with me, but if I believe that something is true, then I want to bring it to others to be considered, weighed, and possibly embraced. Verses and Quotes

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore[c] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.[d] Matthew 28 37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” 38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” … John 18 "The first duty of every Starfleet officer is to the truth, whether it's scientific truth or historical truth or personal truth! It is the guiding principle on which Starfleet is based! If you can't find it within yourself to stand up and tell the truth about what happened, you don't deserve to wear that uniform!" --Captain Jean-Luc Picard to Cadet Wesley Crusher, from Star Trek: The Next Generation http://www.memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/The_First_Duty
