This page contains a list of noteworthy books about foxes. While there are many excellent books about foxes out there, only a few books are able to win the prestigous and highly-coveted Fennec Medal of Honor! **trumpet fanfare**

Title: Four Famished Foxes and Fosdyke

Genre: easy children's book - cartoony foxes
Synopsis: Five fox kits are instructed by their mother to go out and find food. Four of them decide to go visit a farm to raid the henhouse, but one of the foxes, Fosdyke, decides to stay home and cook French cuisine. This book has heavy iliteration on the letter F.
Notes: In case you didn't know, Yuoo himself happens to be a vegetarian, so he's always delighted to meet other vegetarian foxes.


Title: The Old Country

Genre: juvenile; delightful but philosophical fairy tale - post-modern allegory
Synopsis: A young girl named Gisella sets out to hunt a fox who has been eating her family's chickens. However, in the forest she stumbles into a magical realm of fairies and talking animals. From this, she learns to see things from the fox's point of view. Meanwhile, Gisella's homeland is being ravaged by war, involving previously unheard of mechanical weapons. From this, the fox learns to see things from Gisella's point of view.
Notes: There are many things I like about furries and animal stories, but one thing I like in particular is that they can help us understand human nature: mourning its frailties and shortcomings, but celebrating its virtues and triumphs
