Yuoo's Diary - February 2006

Thursday, February 8, 2007 - Yuoo has been doing reasonably well. He was planning to go to the Superbowl party at Mortar Abbey, but he started to feel sick and decided to stay home.

Yuoo has been learning some things from a friend at work named Winner. Yuoo likes talking with Winner at work. (a little too much, acutally since Yuoo got in trouble when the boss noticed) Winner sees life a lot differently than Yuoo does, so sometimes they exchange ideas or even movies to watch. Yuoo is about half-way through watching a movie called "Soap Club." (It's kinda long, so he's breaking it up into days.) Well, Soap Club is the embodiment of the way that Winner sees life. This gets on Yuoo's nerves sometimes because it makes him worry that his own life is boring and unchallenged. Yuoo knows better than to put too much importance in what Winner thinks, but allowing your own views to be challenged isn't easy (especially when you don't quite trust the person doing the challenging).

Yuoo is enjoying the Harry Otter books that he's been reading. I can't quite put it into words now, but it's teaching him to see things (including some old, unpleasant memories) from a new perspective.

Yuoo is, at the moment, a very hungry fox. He hasn't eaten breakfast because he will soon go to the healer's clinic and have a sample of blood drawn.

Wednesday, February 14, 2007 - Happy Valentine's Day! :) Today, Yuoo went to Mortar Abbey where they had a Valentine's Day dinner with music afterward. It was sort of like a coffee house poetry night or a talent show. People came and read poetry, sang love-songs, and even danced. Sometimes, it was silly, sappy, serious, heartwarming, beautiful, or crazy, but it was all fun.

On a whim, Yuoo went up and sang one of his favorite songs, "Mona Lisa."

Saturday, February 17, 2007 - Today was a fairly lazy day for Yuoo. He played video games, went shopping for groceries, and saw a movie. The movie was very good. It is called "Bobby," and it's a story about Robert Kennedy. This movie made Yuoo feel very... alive. Interestingly enough, the story wasn't really about Bobby Kennedy, but it was more about the everyday creatures that were around him. Yuoo told me that it made him feel like he wasn't alone in trying to understand the world and decide what his place should be in it. The movie had a lot of famous creatures in it, and it was directed by none other than Emilio Mightyduckstevez! :)

Yuoo also bought some more ink for his printer. The office store was selling it for a ridiculously cheap price, and when Yuoo inquired about it, the store clerk told him that they're going to stop making ink cartridges for his model of printer. Poor printer! It's a good thing that computers don't have feelings because then someone would have to make a Obsoletion Crisis Hotline support group.
