Sunday, August 13, 2006 - Today, Yuoo went to a place called Maranatha Abbey, to visit a couple of friends of his, Kelvin and Tania Jerboa. Kelvin works with Yuoo in the Etheratory, also as an artist.
Work has been good, but Yuoo is always afraid that he can't make is pictures fast enough.
This October, Yuoo is going to a wedding, but I'll tell you more about that later.
Monday, August 14, 2006 - Yesterday afternoon, Yuoo got to read a good book and relax in a steaming tub of aloe juice and bath salts. Unfortunately, this caused some water get stuck in his left ear, and it was almost a day before the water came out. Yuoo tried everything he could think of. He jumped up and down, and he tried some drops of rubbing alcohol. Still, it was just a matter of time before it went away.
Having water stuck in your ear is annoying for any creature but especially so for a Fennec fox. Yuoo was suprised how much it distored his hearing's directional judgement.
Monday, August 21, 2006 - Today, Yuoo rode his bicycle to work. Often, dangerous cars prowl the roads that Yuoo bikes down, so that's why Yuoo uses protective cameoflage. He wears bright shiny yellow clothing, which is nature's way of saying to cars, "You don't want to run over me."
As for work itself, it's difficult for me to fit a mundane workday within the context of Yuoo's Diary, so let's just say that nothing was particularly exciting. "Another day, another coin," as Yuoo's friend Kelvin likes to say.
After work was finished, Yuoo bicycled to Mortar Abbey where they had cames and activities to welcome the newcomers. Tonight's theme was Pie. All of the games were somehow pie-related, not the least of which was a pie-eating contest. The creatures gathered into several teams. Yuoo's team named themselves "3.14", which is a silly pun about pie. They even devised a team cheer that went like this: "Sine! Sine! Cosine-Sine! Three-Point-One-Four One-Five-Nine!" You must remember that several members of the team (including Yuoo himself) are trained in Mathematics, a powerful art that often causes madness in its students.
Well, Yuoo's team won, but it was not without great personal sacrifice. Before the evening was out, Yuoo was covered in whipped-cream, from his nose to his ears.
